Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. A dog bite is a common medical emergency in clinical practice, thus I do follow and recommend the following line of treatment:

i. If the dog is normal & live at the end of 5 days = no worry
ii. If the dog behaves abnormal and dies = Rabies
iii. If Dog is unknown or killed = give full immunization as for rabies.

2. In your case, since immunization status of the dog is not known, I would recommend a full course of immunization, don't take the risk as rabies has no cure.
3. Tetanus prophylaxis and the booster dose of rabies [on the 90th day] is also recommended.

PS. since rabies has a long incubation period so take the vaccination before the development of symptoms, the best thing is to contact your doctor. [since getting the vaccine will help build antibodies against rabies antigen], moreover, it will help protect him in case of future exposures up to a year and will need fewer shots if bitten again.
