Hi, my 2 year old girl fell and hit her forehead on the corner of some stone steps two weeks. ago. We took her to the minor injury unit, she was fine and not concussed or fractured her skull. The huge swelling went down quickly but she had a pink line where the impact happened which is still there and seems to have left a dent in her forehead which is quite visible. I am very worried about permanent scarring and want to know if that is likely, and what I can do to help it heal? Thanks
Hi. It would be very unlikely for there to be any permanent scarring from this.
As for the dent that's just from the hematoma (the swelling) putting pressure on the underlying tissue and the dent should disappear in a fairly short time
