How Can A Forehead Lump Caused By An Old Injury Be Treated?

Hi Doctor. About sixteen years ago I hit my forehead and it left a large bump. It never has gone away and years ago it began to feel like it has turned into bone. Is there anything that can be done about it? Thanks. P.S. I never had a CT scan done on it.

Hi, I understand your concern and I'll try to help you. It is common that trauma in the forehead causes local fractures that to heal forming a callus. In some people this callus is more prominent leading to facial deformities.

When this deformity hinders self-esteem, causes psychic trauma or embarrasses a person, one can resort to reconstructive plastic surgery to correct the deformity.

So if the callus is hindering your life, look for a good surgeon plastic to help you in deformity correction.
