Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a fractured tibia that occurred 19 months ago. Because of insurance it wasn t discovered until 6 months ago. X-RAYS show that it s healed pretty straight but I still have pain in the area and if I try to exercise it hurts. My question is, should I expect that nothing could be done to fix it or should I just live with the pain?
No refix surgeries are possible. Nonunion or malunion tibia fracture in many cases I have done. Many of them have refixed there legs and are leading there better lives. Kindly go to any orthopedic and find out if it is possible for surgery if not ask for physiotherapy or any other measures.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
