How Can A Fractured Shoulder Be Treated?

Hello, 85 Yr. Old Mom N Law fell down Friday night in the house. Broken shoulder mashed up the rotater. Bruised Hip, Bruised Head. We went to the Emergency Room she was discharged after 4 hours. Do you think she should have been admitted and tended to more and had an Ortho Dr. check her out? Now we are running around with her seeking Ortho Dr. and follow up with her Primary.

Hi,

It depends on the site and type of fracture in females. Post menopausal osteoporosis develop and bone becomes weak and fragile.

So, it is fractured easily, x-ray should be done, orthopedics consultation is necessary and plan treatment accordingly.
