How Can A Head Injury Be Treated?

Hi, I had a head injury last Saturday and have since been released from the hospital. My cat scan revealed a slight bleed in my occipital lobe but they said I seemed ok and they released me after a night of supervision. Earlier today I started hearing an echo in my right ear of the sounds around me and I’m wondering if I should be scared and go back in before my scheduled check up in a couple days

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Head injury can manifest in different ways. Since your CT scan is already showing slight bleed in occipital lobe, it is possible that there was concurrent other injuries that can manifest with the time.
One of these is echoing in ear that indicates there is definitely an internal injury to the ear apparatus.
Hence it is imperative that you consult your Doctor immediately, get an ENT examination done to be sure about what exactly is the problem and get treated accordingly.
You may need a combination of MRI and CT scan of the mastoids and review of the brain injury.
Insist on proper evaluation, examination and investigations.
Take care.
Wishing you all the best.

Hope I have answered your query.
