How Can A Hematoma On The Right Thigh Be Treated?

I had a accident two months ago and I have a large hematoma on the inside of my right thigh. It has not went down any. Now it has a red type of rash or bruising around the bottom of it. It is about the size of a small grapefruit. I am 70 y old male. Should I be concerned ?.
