How Can A Hernia Be Treated?

I recently saw a doctor about my groin hernia. He said I should have surgery by incision because it will take less of a chance for nerve or blood vessel damage than laparoscopy surgery. I am afraid the incision surgery will be very painful than the other type. But because he said it was a large hernia it may be my only choice. What should I do? Ron

Hello welcome to the health care magic

For hernia two type of surgery can be possible

1.open by incision
And 2. Laproscopy

Laproscopy surgery is better option...

But you are right if hernia much large than incisional operation needed

It's after examination we can decide what approach is feasible

But before undergoing incisional hernia repair, Consult another surgeon also for taking advise after examination

Take care

Hope this will help you
