I had an endoscopy today and was told I have a large hiatal hernia. My symptoms to caused me to have this procedure is not heartburn, but sometimes pain that radiates to my left shoulder. Once I throw up I feel better. I don t know what to do, if surgery should be done?
For temporaily you can work out on life style modifications like reducing the weight, having little food at frequest intervals, minumum duration between your meals and sleep must be 2 hours, drinking good amount of fluids, keeping pillow bit high.
With this your symptoms will get reduced temporarily, but surgery is must. Kindly meet the surgeon.
Thank u
