How Can A Infection Below The Right Ankle Be Treated?
Aslam o alaikum Sir my Father is heart patient and he is also diebetic.. Fromnthe last month or more he is having an infection just below the ankle on his right foot.. At first the infected area was too small but with the passage of time its keep growing. Earlier red deep spots were appeared which then came to upper layer and looked like filled with some liquid.. Then that surface becomes tight nd after sometime that upper layer vanished.. Then with a gap of two days red deep spots again appeared nd the process goes on.. I can send you a picture if required.. Kindly tell me what should we do now.. He never felt any sort of pain in it.

Hello,
As you told that your father is a known the case of a diabetic. In a diabetic patient, it is very hard to treat simple infections. And, if proper care is not taken, amputation may be needed (worst case scenario) so my advice, please take your father to a surgeon as soon as possible. He will do proper dressing. And make sure blood sugar level is under control.
