How Can A Knee Injury Be Treated?

I twisted my knee, a common injury for me from teenage years of roller skating. The difference from previous twists is that this time it pinched behind my knee.Immediate Care said to stay off of it. I have done this for a week with little difference. I can straighten and bend it. Do you think I need to see an ortho md or just give it more time?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you have pain, it is better to do MRI scan to look for any ligament involvement. You can take analgesics like paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain.

Consult an orthopedic for detailed evaluation. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
