How Can A Large Bruise Under The Eyes Caused Due To A Hematoma Be Treated?

i think i have a hematoma under my eye from a filler injection that i had almost 6 weeks ago. The swelling has gone down but I still have a long bruise under my eye. It was much worse, had improved slightly, but still feels a bit tender to the touch and is still purplish-black. What can i do to get rid of it, if anything?

Hello,

It is self-limiting and regresses slowly. Cold compression facilitate it early micro-aggression in conjunctiva is slowly regress by absorption it will take time. Color will fade and it will become lighter.

For complete recovery, it will take time no treatment is required only cold compression will help oral medication or local application will not help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

First of all, it is good to know that the bruise is improving. However unfortunately like any other bruise on the body this bruise will also take its time.

It is unlikely that you develop a hematoma with an injection here, a few suggestions to improve your swelling and pain are.

You can take any NSAID or pain killer to improve your pain if the pain bothers you a lot. Apply cold sponges/ice packs to the area affected to speed up the healing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
