Thanks for contacting with your health concern.
1. As diagnosed with
liver disease of unknown etiology get a
second opinion or consult a Hepatologist as how to proceed further since mild elevation of liver enzymes are normal [although liver produces enzymes in response to injury/infection]
2. For prophylaxis: check the values repeatedly since if increasing there could be an ongoing
hepatocellular injury like superadded infection can cause liver dysfunction since mine concern would be
viral hepatitis A-B [probable reason of long-term injection therapy]
PS. keep a note that although these tests are sensitive but very nonspecific and serve to detect liver disease rather than quantitative liver function so their high values don't signify a serious complication most of the time, it is the underlying pathophysiological process which needs to be diagnosed and managed.
3. preventive measures which you can adopt
- maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- boiled water or bottled water.
- strictly no alcohol, painkillers [except paracetamol]
-
immunization against Hepatitis A & B
