Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 16 year old daughter has a small lump down where her leg and private parts are and her hair is falling out like crazy! She saw a doctor last week and said it just looked to be a glad or something and to put warm compresses on it. It has gotten a little bit bigger (from pea size to marble size). The has severe skin issues so has been on topical steroids for the past few months. Could these symptoms be from that or should we be concerned it is something else?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Is it painful one side or both groins? You mentioned skin lesions and using steroid cream. The skin lesions probably infected and she developed lymph node enlargement in the groin.
Treat the infection with the antibiotic if the skin condition looks infected. Consult the local doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vinayachandran PK
