Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I believe that I may have Plantar Fascitis, but what concerns me is the lump on the top of my foot? Have not injured it in any other way that is memorable. I am taking ibuprofen. I have not ice it as of yet and have a difficult time staying of the foot to rest it. I throbbed through the night in a scale of 7-8 :(
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. The lump you are describing could be multiple things from a simple soft tissueganglion to a bony spur on the top of your foot. I would suggest to try taking Ibuprofen as long as you can tolerate NSAIDS and have no GI discomfort. Also I would advise to ice it for 15 to 20 min and to rest for 1 hour between icing. Also you can try ace bandage to minimize swelling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Samuel Parmar
