How Can A Lung Collapse Be Prevented?

I have 1/3 right lung due to histoplasmosis and a full left lung. While walking to my car I began to shake and gasp for air. The next morning I ended up in the hospital with partial left long collapse and oxygen down to 88 to 90 %. My concern is if the left lung collapses completely I can not survive.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If one of the lung is fully collapsed, then the only option will be lung transplantation. Consult a thoracic surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
