Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
dr. plans to operate on me for a torn meniscus, however this condition has been on-going for over a year. I was operated on in 6/2015 for a quidricept rupture and I didn t know that i also had a torn meniscus, therefore it was not treated at that time. My question is that because of the delay in getting treatment for the torn meniscus, will have have a good out come with the 2nd surgery?
A meniscal tear is common. Many times they are managed conservatively, however, if advanced they are repaired surgically. In expert hands, its quite safe and effective procedure. So you should not worry, many times its quite effective procedure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
