How Can A Metabolic Liver Disease Be Diagnosed?

What is the MLD connected with the liver and how do I read my blood work to know if mine has gotten worse. In April I was told my number was 18 I would like to know what it is now. Because I have been doing all the steps to get ready for a liver transplant. Mary

I think you are talking about "MELD" score *(model for end stage liver disease). It is calculated based on values of bilirubin, INR, and creatinine. You can calculate it by using the formula "MELD = 3.78×ln[serum bilirubin (mg/dL)] + 11.2×ln[INR] + 9.57×ln[serum creatinine (mg/dL)] + 6.43
The value of 18 indicates good prognosis.
