Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I may have had a tubal miscarriage. I ve been feeling ill lately with a fever and mild to severe stomach cramps/pains, and tonight, I experienced extreme amounts of stomach pain followed by massive amounts of bleeding of both thin and thick consistency. My tubes were tied about 8 years ago, so how could I be having a miscarriage? And what action should I take from here?
After tubal ligation the possibility of becoming pregnant is very low but chances are there that you may get pregnant. It is always safer to use condoms to stay protected from STD & pregnancy.
Tubal miscarriage may occur because of ectopic pregnancy when the fertilized egg implants in the Fallopian tube instead of the the uterus.
You are suggested to visit your gynae or the surgeon who had done tubal ligation.
Get clinically examined & get Imaging tests done to assess the failure of the procedure & get it corrected to avoid further unwanted pregnancies.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
