How Can A Muscle Pull In The Abdomen Be Treated?

I was stretching and pulled a muscle in my stomach. It s the same feeling as when you pull a muscle anywhere else in your body only once I pulled it the pain never went away and now it feels like there s something twisted in my stomach. What could this be?

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell that muscle pull during any activity can give you pain in the surface of belly and can be treated same as other muscle pulls in the body are treated. Mild strain can take about a week to heal.

Kindly put ice or gel pack wrapped in a cloth over the sore area for about 20 min every 3-4 hours and take over the counter analgesic like ibuprofen or Naproxen. See a physician if pain persists.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Bansal
