How Can A Muscle Pull In The Lower Back Be Treated?

almost 3 weeks ago, I was working out with my trainer and pulled out my lower back. Tried acupuncture, muscle relaxers, ibibrufon, cold back and nothing works. I can barely sit down and get back up without excruating pain. The pain has moved from lower left to lower right and around my waist on the right side. I am trying to set up an appt with an Orthodepic. What do you think is wrong? Pulled Muscle, Nerve? Please help. Thanks.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Based on the symptoms that you described it looks more like an acute muscle spasm. I would get an x-ray to rule out any other injuries and treat it conservatively.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Fahim Sheik
