I am 65 yrs old and just stuck myself with a very small stainless steel nail in my hand. Probably need booster can t remember for tetanus. It has been in my junk drawer for 25 years. Washed my hand and put alcohol on it after squeezing it and then put anti biotic ointment on it. It is very tiny. What should I do?

I had gone through your history. It is a very good thing that you were very keen and knowledgeable about your condition.

You had done all the important things necessary for your condition. You had squeezed and applied antibiotic.

Apart from the above things
1. You can safely have a booster dose of tetanus toxoid.
2. daily clean your wound with antiseptic solution (betadine)
3. apply a waterproof bandaid

No need to worry, you can manage the things in a simple way.
