A little more than a week ago, I had an ache/tension in my neck which persisted for 4-5 days. During this time, I had tingles in my arms. Then, all of a sudden, the tension disappeared and my head started dropping and wobbling, like it was too heavy for my neck. I went to the hospital and an orthopedic doctor told me that I had neck strain and that it would go away eventually. That was 5 days ago. Today, my neck is still weak and my head feels heavy after using it for a couple of hours, which prompts me to lie down for a small portion of the day to recuperate my neck strength (though there s barely any). I still have tingles in my arms from time to time, and also in my left leg - although it seems to be disappearing slowly but surely. My upper jaw tends to fall down on my lower jaw from time to time, perhaps it s due to the overall heaviness of the head? Let me stress that there is absolutely no pain whatsoever, no matter how I turn my head. Walking outside alleviates the pressure from the head on the neck for some odd reason, while sitting down or standing still can speed up my urge to lay down. So the thing that bothers me is my neck s inability to support my head. It s uncomfortable and prompts me to lie down as a pre-emptive measure. My questions are therefore: - Do I really have neck strain/muscular damage? - Will this neck weakness go away and if so, when do you think that ll happen approximately? - Do you have any advice?
