How Can A Painful Bruise Below The Shoulder Be Treated?

I injured my arm a week ago today and it was badly bruised from below the shoulder to midway between the elbow and wrist. I am able to move my arm so nothing is broken but there is a bump under the skin just above the elbow about 2 inches wide. It is painful to touch and is quite hard. Should I see a doctor?

Welcome to HealthcareMagic

Yes you should see a doctor, because sometimes its only a bruise which will get better within few days but few time you can misinterpret from other vascular causes. As you said you injured your arm and its been a week so its important to know the nature of injury or whether in this injury inflammation is happening or some inner vascular damage is going on.
Consult a orthopaedician so that he can rule out the soft tissue/ligament/ other caused behind it.
