How Can A Painful Bunion On The Right Foot Be Treated?

I have a relatively large bunion on my right foot and over past month a large knot appeared on the top of the same foot near the tip of my arch . It is causing a lot of pain and is painful to the touch. I have not dropped anything on it or twisted it. Could it be associated with the bunion?

First get an X ray done of foot so that Bunion ie subluxation of great toe joint is confirmed ie large painfull knot and associated complaint will also be observed in that .
