A callus is basically thickened skin due to chronic pressure or weight. I would suggest you to avoid sitting for long to prevent further pressure on that site as it would either worsen it further or delay its resolution. I suggest you to use a salicylic acid based ointment e.g 6-12% sailcylic acid, twice daily for a few days. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic and would help soften and exfoliate hard skin of callus. It is commonly used tpo treat corns and warts. Salicylic acid ointment is available over the counter.
