How Can A Painful Haemorrhoid Be Treated?

I have a hemorhoid which went purple, I ve been applying germaloids cream for almost two weeks.the pain has been horrendous and is still extremely sore. I caught it on my underwear which irritated it. I ve been having daily site baths with salt. It has felt as if it s being strangled and the dull pain radiate and is constantly uncomfortable. It now has now gone saggier, however the skin at the ends/side went very hard an numb, and now has all turned yellow, and very pink, sore and swollen at the base. Please help is is dying, infected and will it need operating on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If there is no improvement on conservative measures and there is severe pain then hemorrhoids should be treated surgically. You can apply creams containing anaesthetic and corticosteroids like proctosedyl.
thanks
