Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a kidney stone but due to me being only 17 they didn’t CT scan me meaning we do not know how big the stone is. I am in excruciating pain ever since the painkiller they injected has worn off. What painkiller would you suggest taking and in how many intervals?
To diagnose a kidney stone, a good ultrasound examination is effective. Since the stone is causing you pain, in all probability, it must be removed. Required investigations, including blood and urine investigations, CT scan or an MRI scan would also be needed. Pleased do consult a Urologist, who can examine you, advise the required tests and plan the surgical procedure.
