Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a painful lump pimple like that keeps getting full with blood and get swollen sometimes right before my period, I have tried a lot of different things even draining it but i am tired, is persistent. It has healed before but not completely. What do I do with it? I showed my Dr before she said it was nothing but I want it gone. Any suggestions?
During periods it is very common to get pimples due to hormonal changes and sometimes there are pimples which are really painful as you mentioned. I would suggest you not to poke it or try to drain it on your own as there are chances of infection and you will make it even worse than before. As your doctor said pimples come and go on their own.
You can do one thing that is keeping your face clean from dirt and oil throughout the day by using mild products to wash your face and make sure you stay hydrated sufficiently every single day. Try to improve your diet with more nutrient foods which are rich in antioxidants.
Apart from this you can consult a dermatologist and get advice from her regarding skin care and management of the issues you are facing. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact for any queries again.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
