As per your history,it seems that you have an abscess in your gluteal(buttock) area.It is nothing but collection of pus under the skin.It is a harmless condition but it causes severe pain. You have to undergo a procedure called I&D(Incision and drainage) to remove pus and debris from the area.It is a minor procedure and can be done by a general practitioner or even by a trained nurse. You have to also take a short course of antibiotics like ampiclox for five to seven days. For pain and discomfort you can very well take analgesics like diclofenac or ibuprofen .
