How Can A Painful Lump On The Left Leg Be Treated?
I fell walking my son s dog on May 1st. I hurt my left leg just below the knee. When I fell it felt like a pop . I iced it, kept it up. Most swelling is gone now, but a hard lump remains (feels bony) on the outside of my leg just below the knee. It is painful. Sometimes my leg from the knee down feels tingly or my ankle feels like it is swollen or sprained--but it isn t. I did see my doctor May 9 but she did not order an x-ray and thought it was a large blood clot near the bone that would eventually re-absorb. It is very irritating and keeps me awake at night unless I take 3 Ibuprophen before bed.......which I do not want to keep doing. It have range of motion and some flexibility. Strange. Thank you. Lynne
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use cold and warm compression. Please get it done x-ray of your leg then consult your Orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
