Hello,

As per your query, you have symptoms of painful rash on the upper lip which seems to be skin burn.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do:
- Avoid exposure to sunlight and apply lip balm to moisten area
- Avoid hot, salty, spicy and sharp food
- Apply ice pops
- Take vitamin B2 and niacin supplement
- Keep yourself hydrate by drinking plenty of water

If condition keeps on persisting then you should consult oral pathologist for proper examination. The doctor may start treatment accordingly and take antihistamine medications to prevent allergy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
