How Can A Painful Sore On The Labia Minora Be Treated?

I have had a sore on my labia minor near the frenulum for about 6 months. It has been burning and itching. It hurts when I pee and it touches it, when I wipe or when my underwear touch it. It has a white bump about 2 to 3 cm wide and it seems to be growing scaly type skin going into the vulva. After having it for a few months I began bleeding very heavy for 8 weeks, I sent and saw my ob and she was supposed to do a biopsy on it when I went in for my d & c but she did the biopsy on the wrong spot, she did one near my anus because she said it was discolored, of course that came back negative for anything. She also diagnosed me with uterine prolapse and I am wondering if that could be the cause of my pelvic pain, back pain and pain with intercourse. I have asked my ob but she just seems to brush it off. Could this all be related or do I have a couple of different issues going on. I am now waiting for an appointment with another doctor who will actually do the biopsy in the right spot.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a general physician, my suggestion would be to get a biopsy done as you are describing it as a cystic lesion but it can be prolapse as well with an ulcer over it.that might also be possibility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
