Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i had a mole on my scalp that I scrached off by mistake. I had a small wond near it so I thought I was removing the top of the wond instead I have removed the mole. Now, the place is painful, white in the middle with red circle around it. What should I do?
I understand your concern. First of all, it is not advisable to scratch moles. It is possible the skin is infected and needs proper medical attention.
I recommend you disinfect the area with a cotton soaked in alcohol or witch hazel and make a doctor's appointment to have it checked. Most probably your doctor will decide to do a biopsy, that is take a small sample from the mole area, in order to examine it and make sure there is no unusual growth.
I hope this helps.
