How Can A Penile Injury Be Treated?
My boyfriend s penis became injured during sex last night when one of the strings from my iud went in his penis hole. It bled for a few hours and bled again when he tried to urinate this morning. It was also painful for him to urinate. Minor bleeding is still continuing on and off 18 hours later, enough to stick to his boxers and begin again when he moves. I ve already made my appointment to have my iud strings checked and I m considering switching to the arm implant, so future issues won t happen. In the meantime, what should we do to make sure he heals properly? Should he go to urgent care or can we just wait for it to heal naturally?

sterile dressing and cleaning with antiseptic solution like betadine for decontamintion of the wound is very important untill complete recovery
if he feel inflammation of the wound and infection suspected he should take antibiotics like amoxicillin as he has high risk of wound infection especially if the wound exposed to urine.......
using local antibiotic creams will be helpful and avoiding sexual contact also.....
.....he should continue cleaning with antiseptic untill healing
if he got feverish or drainage or pus of the wound he should be examined clinically by his doctor for any complications avoidance
