How Can A Pill Stuck In The Throat Be Removed?

The other day I took my medicine and one of the bigger pills got stuck in my throat. That was three days ago. It is still there. It is not causing any issues with me eating, drinking or breathing but when I do eat or drink, it does make my chest real tight and the pain is very excruciating. What can I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The stuck pill inside esophagus requires endoscopic removal, though not causing difficulty in eating or drinking; real tightness in chest and excruciating pain is matter of concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
