Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor, I got a big pimple type thing on my cheek beside the lip. It s most probably follicuitis, it pained a lot for two days with puss oozing out continuously. Is it appropriate to take novaclox LB for it. In fact, after taking novaclox LB for two days now, I have been feeling relieved. Thanks
Hello, Thank you for your query. Yes novaclox-lb helps as it is an antibiotics suitable for most skin infections. Please keep the area clean and dry. Use clean cloth or wet cotton to wipe off pus.
*What is your weight and age?
-Continue antibiotics for 7 days (thrice a day or more depending on your weight and age). - use mupirocin ointment over and around the boil twice a day for 10 days. (make sure it doesn't get in your mouth.)
If it increases or persists beyound a week of treatment, see a doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
