How Can A Pinched Nerve In The Lower Spine Be Treated?
I have been diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my lower lumbar spine along with arthritis and sciatica pain. There is a cyst on the pinched nerve??? I am 85 years old. What do you recommend for my constant pain. Will Meloxicam help me and will Gabapentin help me? I am very confused because of all the side effects from the various pain medications I have taken, i.e. Tramadol.
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -
1)Regarding medication you can take [tramadol]and Cortisone injections for pain.
2)Do consult with a physiotherapist for specific exercise plan
Do follow few lifestyle modifications like -
1)Do exercise regularly. Strengthening the trunk muscles helps stabilize and support the spine.
2)Try to maintain a good posture. Good posture reduces the pressure on your spine and disks. Keep your back straight and aligned, particularly when sitting for long periods.
3)Try to maintain a healthy weight.
Hope that helps
