How Can A Pulled Muscle In The Back Be Treated?

I feel as if I ve pulled a muscle in my back, just to the right half way up from my hip to my shoulder blade. It feel like a catch when I move certain ways. I had the same thing happen about a month ago to the point of incapacitation...this time not so bad. I m wondering if it could be something internal, rather than muscular because nothing I do seems to help it. (pain meds, hot/cold, etc.)

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In my opinion you are suffering from fibromyositis- there is a catch of soft tissue at one point in paraspinal area.Treatment is pain killers , muscle relaxants and physiotherapy. If no improvement in 10 days then go for Local Steroid injection.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
