How Can A Pulled Muscle In The Left Shoulder Be Treated?
Hi - thoughts on what this might be? I pulled or strained something in my left shoulder / elbow carrying a boxed thin mattress pad when an extremely strong gust of wind blew and jerked the large box in my arms. This happened 3 months ago and I still have a slight ache on the outside of my arm immediately below the shoulder and similarly some hot spots and twinges at times in the elbow. I avoid doing anything strenuous with the left arm due to this but am fine playing golf regularly (I’m right handed and play 3x per week). There’s no clicking noises, or grinding feelings. I’m 63 and fortunate to be very healthy, 6’1” and 190 lbs.
As per your history, you have jerk the so that you have pain. Kindly take tablet Diclofenac and apply Diclofenac gel or ointment over affected area after orthopedician consultation. Kindly continue physiotherapy as advised. Don't give much strain over it. Take proper rest. You can also do hot water fomentation for better relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
