Hi. I m a very active 85 year old. I have Polymialgia Rheumatica controlled by prednisone and have had it for over five years along with degenerative arthritis causing me to wear braces from my feet to just below my calves. I also had to have a pacemaker in March 2015. For about a year and a half I have a rash right in my mid sternum off and on about every three months. It doesn t sting, itch or have any pain. It lasts about three days then disappears. It is always in the exact place and shape. I haven t used any new detergent, bath soap, etc. I have show it to my primary care doctor and my Rheumatologist and they don t seem to know what it is In August of 2015 I had sepsis and was in the ICU for about a week and they were unable to find the source of the infection (I mention this just in case. I am retired nurse. I would appreciate and suggestions you might make.
