Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 36 year old female I have 2 children, after my last child birth 2 years ago I started having problems with my bowel movements. sometimes my stool feels like it is pushing on my vaginal canal wall and when I look down and feel it is bulging towards my vaginal area. and I will push stool back towards rectal area and it will come on out through the rectum. the tissue and lining is all still intact. how much of a risk is it turning into fistula and is there anything I can do to not cause that to happen.
Your symptoms seem to be related to the fistula. Fistula can be treated through surgery.
I suggest you consult a proctologist for an evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest you take daily probiotics and drink a lot of liquids to avoid constipation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
