How Can A Retractile Testicle Causing Pain Be Treated?

Hi, I had testicular cancer ten years ago and had a testicle removed, this was followed shortly by a hernia operation. For years now I have been living with a painfull problem in which, during intercourse my testicle rises up and pushes thought the muscle wall. This is very painfull and I have to physically push the testicle baack into position and this is disruptive to my sex life. I have been told by a doctor that an operation to repair is too risky as it may result in damage to the remaining testicle. Is there any advice you can offer to this issue?

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

Noted the history of one testicle removed for the cancer.
It is the only remaining testicle that is causing the problem.
As has been told to you, the problem looks that you have not yet completed the family.
First of all get your semen analysis done
Get ultrasonography and color doppler done.
IF you are married get your family completed fast.
You can also preserve your semen for as long time as you wish in a semen bank.
Now you can consult a Laparoscopic Surgeon with Urological background .
A simple procedure of releasing the spermatic cord from inside of the abdominal wall to lengthen it and dissection in the canal will allow the testicle to reach inside the scrotum fully without much complications.
Nor Orchidopexty can be done so that the testicle is not allowed to travel up.
and your problem will be solved permanently.
I find this answer helpful
