How Can A Rib Injury Be Treated?

I slipped on the stairs on Thursday night and landed on my ribs. It was a pretty hard fall and I knew i d damaged my ribs in some way. I ve been taking painkillers constantly and it helps but I have work tomorrow and don t know if I should go? It gets worse if I move wrongly and don t know if I will make it worse by trying to do my job. We are short staffed at work which is why I would like some advise.
