Hi My daughter has ruptured her eardrum. It is possible that she may have damage the bone. The hole has healed but before the inside of the ear was not healing. I don t think it has healed. She is an active girl and this has slowed her down. She has a high tolerance for pain and is not a complainer. She has been in pain. I have been told she should not still be having pain. She has been rotating Tylenol and ibuprofen. The injury happen on 19Aug17. What can we do to help with the pain?
If ruptured eardrum due to what reason? Is it due to infection? Takes time to heal, if it became chronic means need treatment. Is it due to trauma? It will close early, so don't allow water or any liquid to enter into the ear. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat the cause. Dont give in necessary painkiller without treating the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
