How Can A Scaphoid Fracture Be Treated?

I got scaphoid fracture on November2016 and got pop for 4 weeks,after completion of this spell looking new X-ray doctor said it is uniting fracture scaphoid and told me to give fully rest to the hand and come after 6 months.After 6 months new X-ray said Delayed union fracture scaphoid.Now doctor said that it will take time.I am not able to understand that how much time it will take while it has already 7 months.please guide me. Thanks

Delayed fracture union usually occurs due to improper immobilization of fracture site.
Management of delayed fracture union may require surgery also.
