How Can A Skin Abrasion Below The Knee Be Treated?
I have a large scrape below my knee. With regular smaller scrapes I just let the air get to it while it healed. Now I m getting conflicting suggestions as to how to deal with this larger scrape. Some say let air get to it so a scab can form others say to keep it covered with ointment (I ve been using Porter s Salve.). What do you recommend?
Hello, Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic! I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns. You can apply some over the counter ointments. You don't need to worry as it will revert to normal in few days. It is better to apply salicylic acid containing ointments for better results. Wishing you good health. Regards. Dr Shinas Hussain
