How Can A Skin Lesion On The Nose Be Treated?

I have a hardened area just below the tip of my nose. It was a bump that I burst and it healed but left this hardened callused area. I tried peeling it off and it bleeds when I do so and I tried to soften it with vaseline and it just comes right back. What can I do?

Hello,

Don't scratch that area to soothe it. You can post photo of lesion to guide you further. You can apply topical antibiotic cream like Neosporin to get rid of infection.

After resolution of infection, topical moisturizer like Ensi Atm cream can be applied. The scar will fade with the time. No need for further treatment in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
