Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, My name is John, about 2 weeks ago I got a crazy idea to self treat a skin tag on my face just under my right eye. Within a few days of using Tagaway the are became red an somewhat tender. The tag started to shrink. But then, recently the area started constantly oozing a clear to yellowish pus. This morning I noticed a read streak, down my cheek ... possibly where some of the pus drained over night. I plan on discontinuing the Tagaway immediately. And will probably call my PCP first thing tomorrow morning.
A tag on face skin is common conditions, mostly travelling in sunny weather. Your choice of tag away was right, but chances of other infection are there. pus discharge indicates underlying infection. You can contact physician for better treatment. Till that you just wash your face with cold water and gently apply lotion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
