How Can A Small Lump Inside The Elbow Area Be Treated ?
Hi i have a small lump on the inside of my elbow area. I only noticed this as i was rubbing this area due to a constant aching feel in that area. I also have pains around the top of my chest by my left armpit and slightly under my armpit. Previous to this i have been sufferinr with abdominal pains and and do have a mass under the skin on my abdoman. This mass has been examined via an ultra sound and is just some damaged fat . I have also had a urine test and a blood test and both were fine. I am male 27 years old. Any ideas?
Firstly coming to the small lump on the elbow area. It could be either bursitis or a lipoma or epicondylitis. As you have mentioned that it is aching continuously, it could be either epicondylitis or bursitis. You need not worry about that. It would subside on taking Anti Inflammatory drugs ( Pain Killers). If pain is severely incapacitating you better consult an Orthopaedician.
Coming to the Chest pain you are complaining of might well go in the favor of a muscular strain rather than a cardiac cause. Anyways getting an ECG done shall rule out your doubts. Using a muscle relaxant in combination with a pain killer might help you. If any abnormality is found in ECG , you better consult Physician or a cardiologist ( Which i dont think is necessary in your case).
THERE IS AN ENTITY CALLED "EPITROCHLEAR NODE" WHICH IS A LYMPHNODE FOUND IN THE ELBOW REGION.IT IS USUALLY AN UNPALPABLE NODE( MEANING CANT BE FELT WITH FINGERS).ONLY AN EXPERIENCED SURGEON CAN MAKE OUT IF THIS IS A NODE OR JUST A "FATTY"SWELLING OR A LIPOMA LIKE THE ONE YOU HAVE ON YOUR ABDOMINAL WALL. SUCH TYPE OF NODES ARE ALSO PRESENT IN AND AROUND THE ARMPIT ESPECIALLY IN THE AREAS DESCRIBED BY YOU. IF THEY TURN OUT TO BE NODES YOU MAY BE ADVICED TO GET A BIOPSY DONE AS IS USUALLY THE ROUTINE.THIS WILL GIVE U AN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS.
AS YOU HAVENT MENTIONED THE TYPE OF BLOOD TEST YOU HAD, IT IS DIFFICULT TO GIVE AN OPINION ON THAT BUT YOUR SURGEON WILL GET ANY RELEVANT TESTS DONE AFTER TAKING A LOOK AT THE SWELLING. HOPE THIS HELPS. BYE
MR.AJ
THIS MAY BE SIMPLE FAT ACCUMULATION IF YOU ARE FATTY OR OTHERWISE LIPOMA A SMALL BENIGN OR NOT HARMFUL TUMOR OF FAT WHICH YOU CAN LEFT OUT OR CAN GET SURGICALLY REOVED IF TOO MUCH ANXIOUS AND SUBMIT FOR BIOPSY AFTER REMOVAL.
